Questions about our catering menus

What is included in a BongKnot Bengali catering menu?

Each menu is a complete spread built for one occasion rather than a list of dishes to price up individually. Classic menus run to around 13 to 17 dishes, Premium menus to around 28 or 29, and Grand menus to as many as 37, covering the starters, rice and breads, the fish and meat courses, the vegetable dishes, chutney and Bengali sweets.

How much does a Bengali catering menu cost per plate in Bengaluru?

Classic menus start from ₹400 a plate, Premium menus from ₹650 and Grand menus from ₹950. Every menu card on this page shows its own starting price and dish count. The final quotation is confirmed by BongKnot against your finished menu, guest count, service style and venue.

Can I build my own Bengali menu instead of choosing a set one?

Yes. The menu planner on this page builds a menu from your event, guest count, food preference, cuisine, menu level and service style, and you can tell us what to change from there.

Is there a vegetarian Bengali catering menu?

Yes. Every menu can be planned as vegetarian, non-vegetarian or a mix of both. A fully niramish menu, cooked without onion or garlic, can be built for the ceremonial functions that ask for one.

How is the food served?

Four ways, chosen per event: a buffet set out in counters, setting service where our staff serve at the table Bengali style, banana leaf service, or delivery only, where we cook and deliver and your team serves.

How far in advance should a Bengali catering menu be booked?

We ask for at least three days notice before the event date so the menu and the kitchen can be planned properly. The minimum booking is seven guests. Weddings, larger events and peak Puja dates are best enquired about earlier.
