Griha Pravesh
Bengali Housewarming Catering in Bengaluru
Griha Pravesh is a small event with a long memory.
The people who come to a housewarming are the people who will keep coming, and the meal they are given is the one they will remember the house by. That is a good deal of weight for thirty plates to carry.
So the sequence matters here more than the scale. The bitter opener, the dal, the vegetable, the fish or its vegetarian equal, the rice, and a sweet course that is given room. Cut that short and it stops being a Griha Pravesh meal and becomes lunch.
Sequence before scale
A housewarming menu is judged on completeness rather than size. Guests notice a missing course long before they notice a short one, so our Griha Pravesh menus keep every step of the sequence and adjust the portions instead.
- The full traditional order kept intact, even at twenty guests
- A sweet course with real weight, because the occasion asks for one
- A niramish route where the puja requires it
- No dependence on your new kitchen, unless you want us in it
Available as delivery only, buffet, setting service, or full event, end to end. What each one includes.
Good to know
- Do you need to cook in our kitchen?
- No. Delivery and buffet service need no kitchen access at all, which is usually what a new home needs.
- Can the menu be fully niramish?
- Yes, with no onion or garlic, for the puja itself or for the whole meal.
- How small can the booking be?
- Seven guests. A twenty-guest Griha Pravesh is a normal booking, not an exception.
